Aara is a free spirit and adoptive older brother of Rukani. He is supposed to be the next head of the avian clan once his father dies. He is afraid of the responsibility but disguises his anxiety with constant jokes.
Aara's coloration is based on the blue-and-yellow macaw. Feathers and coloring vary widely from individual to individual within the avian community, though most in Aara's clan take after tropical birds.
